The famous Ari’s Bar on board Christina O is unchanged from the day in 1956 when Ari Onassis took delivery of the most impressive superyacht anybody had ever seen, and you can enjoy cocktails in the bar sitting on the same famous bar stools.
The outside bar on Christina O is still to this day better than any outside bar on any modern yacht of any size. We challenge you to suggest a better one!
The famous pool with a recreation of Minoan art on its mosaic floor (lovingly restored) is the same one that was specified by Onassis. Even more remarkable the mechanism that raises and lowers this huge mosaic floor is still the same mechanism from 1956, and still works perfectly.
The pool can be filled and emptied quickly compared to modern yachts, and when not being used, the floor is in the raised position means that the prime real estate can be used rather than being a big empty (dangerous) hole! You will see that this Pool Deck space is used all the time for al-fresco dining, including the ever-popular BBQ evenings. The metal surround of the pool is original and needs polishing two or three times a day.

The Compass Deck forward of the famous yellow funnel has been renovated to create a new outside dining area, with shade and integrated lighting. The new teak on this deck matches the new teak on all the other decks – Christina O has never looked better in her many years as an undisputed queen of superyachts.
Equally comfortable as a drawing room is the Jackie O Lounge, also called the Lapis Lounge with its incredible Lapis Lazuli fireplace and self-playing piano. There are plenty of photos of how this room was used by Onassis as a place for his family gatherings and as a place for powerful people to get together and enjoy relaxed conversation. JFK met Sir Winston Churchill for the first time on this yacht, in Ari’s Bar. Churchill also met Tito for the first time in the Lapis Lounge.
The speed of Christina O is impressive. She was built as a frigate for chasing down U-Boats in World War II, and as such, she needed to reach 19 knots, which she can still do today thanks to her streamlined hull design and plenty of horsepower. Highly maneuverable as well with her twin screw propulsion. The engines and generators are relatively new, installed in 2001. She is equipped with a new air conditioning system.
Known as the Onassis Suite, the yacht’s master stateroom on the bridge deck amidships comprises three rooms: large sleeping quarters, a white Penteli marble bathroom, and a book-lined study with the original onyx fireplace.
A complete spa and beauty area with two massage rooms is staffed by full-time therapists, offering massages and treatments, manicures, and pedicures throughout your stay. A full spa menu is offered with no additional charge during the charters. A gym is also located within the spa.
The yacht’s Head Chef produces Michelin Star cuisine, assisted by the Pastry Chef to create fabulous desserts. There is also a Sushi Master and expert in Asian and Japanese cuisine on board. If you want to enjoy wine, a wine expert is available as part of the Christina O team.
Christina O has an incredible selection of water toys and accessories for you to enjoy. A flyboard, a waterslide, and jet skis (new in 2023) are amongst the inventory, alongside more traditional fare – towable toys, kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkeling equipment. When it comes to Tenders, Christina O has you covered – with two beautiful Hacker Craft tenders and two modern sports boats.

She can daily cruise with up to 157 persons and up to 250 guests can be entertained on her canopied decks for the ultimate event at the dock.
